  • 12:51 I thought could not love televisionwithoutpity any more than I already did. Then I started reading their recaps of Gossip Girl. #
  • 18:19 Ok so not only did my lola know about bisexuality, but she actually referred to it as being "AC/DC", which is all kinds of awesome. #
  • 20:46 Everything I ought to read, I should already have read by now...and that's the story of my life. oO #

Jacob of Television Without Pity talks about gay boys being the "ponies" (read: objects of fascination and occasionally possessiveness) for tweenie girls, which explains so much about many yaoi fans of that age.

I think at this point, culturally, where we are with the gays is a sort of in-between place where it's okay as long as they're small enough to put in our pocket, and their dicks are imaginary. )

I can't believe I found this on a recap of Gossip Girl. This has to be one of my favourite sites ever.

Teresa and Patrick Nielsen Hayden's blog Making Light posts about Madison Boulder, a natural feature and onetime roadside attraction in New Hampshire.

One of their readers decided, like many American landmarks, it needed a folk tale.
They say that Daniel Webster hid a special speech under that rock, a speech so round and ringing, so cogent and compelling, so grand and good, that it would win a man a presidential election. )
